CONTAINER CANDLES
Candles not only offer a soothing ambiance but can also be a reflection of personal care in your space. To ensure you extract the most beauty and longevity out of your glass container candles, here are some illuminating tips:
The Initial Burn
Your very first burn is pivotal. Burn your candle until the wax melts across the entire surface up to the sides of the container to prevent tunneling. This might take up to 2-4 hours, and setting up this โmemoryโ will ensure an even burn in future uses.
Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to about 0.5cm. This maintains a cleaner burn and prevents the flame from becoming too large which could lead to more soot being produced and potentially the glass overheating.
Let the Wax Pool
Each time you burn your candle, allow the entire top layer to become a fragrant pool of liquid wax. This process ensures the most efficient and even burn over the life of your candle.ย
Avoid Drafts
Place your candle in an area free from drafts to prevent smoking and uneven burning. Drafts can cause the flame to flare, leading to faster burn times and possible sooting.
Burn Time
Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This helps to control the temperature of the wax so your candle can last longer.
Safety First
While enjoying the serene glow of your glass container candles, bear in mind these safety tips to protect both the candle’s integrity and your home.
Stay in the Room
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.
Safe Surface
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from items that can catch fire such as furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, and flammable decorations.
Keep Away from Children and Pets
Keep burning candles away from children and pets. Curiosity can lead to accidents.
Handle with Care
The glass container may become hot. Handle with care and always wait for the glass to cool down before moving the candle.
Extinguish Properly
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. It’s the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.
Storage Matters
When not in use, store your candle in a cool, dry place to protect its quality and fragrance. Cover it with a lid to keep dust out.

TEA LIGHTS
Follow these simple steps to ensure you safely burn your tea lights and achieve the best results:
Find a Suitable Holder: Ensure you have a tea light holder that is 5cm in diameter or less. This is the ideal size for your tea light.
Let It Burn: Stay in an area free of drafts to prevent smoking and uneven burning. Allow your candle to burn until the flame naturally extinguishes itself. During this time, the entire candle should become a liquid wax pool.
Watch the Wick Position: If at any point you notice the wick has slipped and is touching the sides of a glass holder, immediately extinguish the flame. Do not relight the tea light in this condition as it could pose a safety hazard.
Removing Leftover Wax: There will be minimal wax remaining once the candle has completely burnt out. However, always ensure the tea light has cooled down before handling it.
Remove Metal Wick Sustainer: Once cool, carefully remove the metal wick sustainer – it should come away with your fingers or use a spoon to remove delicately if it is stuck down.
Insert a New Tea Light or Clean the Holder: If you wish to burn another tea light immediately, simply add a new one. Otherwise, clean the holder with warm soapy water to remove wax residue before using it again. If you have quite a bit of wax build up simply put the container in the freezer for an hour and use a spoon to pop the wax out. Our wax is fully biodegeadable so should be suitable to add to your food waste bin (do check with your local services).

TAPER CANDLES
Follow these simple steps to safely burn your taper candles and achieve the best results:
Choose the Right Holder: Ensure you have a suitable taper candle holder. The holder should be sturdy and capable of securely gripping the taper to prevent it from toppling over.
Pre-Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps maintain a cleaner burn and prevents the flame from becoming too large or producing excess soot.
Light Your Candle: Carefully light the taper at the end of the wick.
Avoid Drafts: Place your candle in an area free of drafts. Drafts can cause the flame to flicker, leading to uneven burning and a faster burn time.
Monitor Wick Position: If the flame dips into the wax and causes the wick to start leaning, extinguish the candle, straighten the wick, trim if necessary, and then relight.
Never Leave Unattended: Never leave a burning candle unattended and always extinguish it before leaving the room.
Extinguish Safely: Safely extinguish the flame by using a candle snuffer or gently blowing it outโavoiding any hot wax from splattering.

CANDLE HANGERS
Candle Placement and Lighting Instructions
- This product is designed exclusively for use with tea light candles. Using candles larger than tea light size could pose a fire hazard and is not recommended.
- Before placing your candle, remove the glass dome from the macramรฉ hanger.
- Remove the base from the dome and place a tea light candle onto the base. Ensure the candle is positioned centrally. Our dome 2.0 has an indentation to help with this.
- Light your tea light candle. Before reattaching the glass dome to the base, check that the candle is properly lit and the flame is stable.
- Carefully place the glass dome back into the hanger that is already hanging in your desired location, ensuring the dome sits securely and straight for an even burn.
Caution and Care
- Hot Surfaces: After use, the glass dome can become extremely hot. Always wait until the flame has entirely gone out and the glass has cooled down before attempting to touch or move the dome.
- Fire Safety: Never leave a lit candle unattended. Ensure the hanging candle holder is placed away from flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets.
- Cleaning: Before cleaning the glass dome, ensure it is cool to the touch. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning; do not use abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the glass. If the base gets any wax spills, wait until cool and the wax should be easily removed with a blunt instrument, and the wood cleaned with a slightly damp cloth (assuming you are using our natural wax tea lights – standard parrafin wax may be considerably more difficult to remove.)
