LOCATION: Old Green Studio, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 6RDBy the twinkle of fairy-lights and the warmth of hot coffee, we will help you craft your very own candles right here in our gorgeous Dorset studio. Using natural essential oils, our candles are hugely beneficial for mind, body, and spirit. When used in the home, they help create a nourishing environment that can both energise and restore you – supporting you through the daily movements of work, rest, and play.
Beginner-friendly, our workshop will guide you through the core principles of natural-candle making from home, whilst you create one of our large Old Green candles (in your choice of scent and colour). You will then get to try blending yourself, balancing different natural oils to create your own unique fragrance that can be poured into a small candle to take home with you: capturing the magic of the day.
Our workshops are small and intimate, ensuring that each participant receives personalised attention. All materials are included along with some lovely treats to keep you going, and you will take away a large Old Green candle along with your own personalised small candle. Also includes a step by step guide for you to take away and continue testing out your new found skills at home.
The class lasts approx 2 hours (but please allow for it to run on a little longer as we don’t like to rush you!)

All materials are provided – including a wide variety of fresh, seasonal foliage, dried elements, and wreath bases, ensuring you have everything you need to create a gorgeous wreath. At the end of the workshop, you’ll proudly take home your one-of-a-kind wreath, a testament to your newfound wreath-making skills.
Whether you’re a beginner or have some wreath-making experience, our workshop welcomes participants of all skill levels. Come solo or bring friends and family for a memorable and creative day together. To ensure a personalized and intimate experience, we have limited spots available. Create a pack of 10 unique and handcrafted cards to get you started with the printing process. We’ll also explore the art of printmaking, using your favourite type of leaf to create a one-of-a-kind print on handmade and hand-rag paper. You’ll be amazed at the stunning effects you can achieve with eco-friendly inks and techniques.

Gemma will guide you though the basics of knot tying while regaling you with the origins and interwoven stories of this fascinating craft. Once you’ve mastered the basics you will immerse yourself in your first project – creating one of our unique hanging candle holders in your choice of our recycled cord colours (brick, khaki or natural).
Our workshops are small and intimate, ensuring that each participant receives personalised attention. All materials are included along with some lovely treats to keep you going, and you will take away your own hanger along with one of our handmade recycled glass domes or planters of your choice. Plants are amazing; they have the power to boost our wellbeing and support our everyday lives. Flower-pressing, and blending your own essential oil blends, are two soothing ways you can work with nature to capture your own little moments of magic for your home.
From our beautiful Dorset studio, flower pressing artist Beth from Wilder and Wren will share her wisdom on all things flora & fauna as she teaches you how to preserve plants & press flowers into your own Old Green candle jar. Old Green’s Tori will then spill her secrets on how to create gorgeous natural candles. You will craft your own blend of essential oils, ensuring the pressed flower candle you’re taking home with you has your own personal scent.
If this isn’t tickling your fancy yet, you will also have a go at pressing a range of wild and garden flowers in your very own press, creating some beautiful petal artwork too!

£75.00 Read moreDuring the workshop you will learn about how to press flowers, and incorporate them into your own candle jar. We will then take you through the core principles involved in creating natural candles, including how to blend essential oils to create your own plant based scents

– A large (220g 60 hour) natural rapeseed wax & essential oil candle you’ve made yourself with real pressed wild flowers
