Reclaimed Glass Tea Light Cups

Our small glass tea light cups are handmade in Dorset from reclaimed olive green bottles. Each bottle is cut, ground and polished by hand to create a simple reusable holder for a tea light.

The original green bottle glass gives the cups their deep olive colour – no additional colour or coating is added – and subtle variations in the reclaimed glass mean each one is slightly different.

Made from Reclaimed Bottle Glass

We collect waste bottles and turn them into useful pieces of glassware rather than allowing the material to go to waste. Each tea light cup is individually cut in our Dorset workshop before the rim is carefully ground and polished smooth.

Their small size also allows us to make use of sections of bottle glass that might not be suitable for larger pieces, helping us get more from the material we reclaim.

Designed for Our Naked Tea Lights

The cups are sized to hold our naked tea lights, giving you a reusable alternative to burning every tea light in its own disposable casing.

Simply place a tea light inside, burn, then remove any remaining wick and wax once it has finished. Wash the glass cup and it’s ready to use again.

You can use them with any appropriately sized tea light, although our naked tea lights have been designed specifically to fit.

Use Alone or Inside Our Glass Domes

Use a single cup for a little candlelight beside the bath, on a shelf or bedside table, or arrange several together across a dining table. Their compact size makes them particularly good for scattering along a long table amongst plates, flowers and serving dishes without taking up much room.

The cups also fit inside our larger glass tea light holders, where the reclaimed bottle-top dome surrounds the flame and helps protect it from draughts. This makes the two pieces particularly useful together for outdoor tables and evenings in the garden.
