Long Matches in a Reclaimed Glass Match Pot
Our long matches are made for lighting candles without having to reach down into the jar as the wick gets lower. At approximately 10cm long, they give you extra reach for candles, lanterns and other hard-to-reach wicks while keeping your fingers comfortably away from the flame.
Each set comes in one of our olive green glass match pots, handmade in Dorset from reclaimed bottles, with a striker so everything you need is kept together beside your candles.
10cm Matches for Candles & Lanterns
Standard matches can quickly become awkward when you’re trying to light a candle that has already burned some way down. The extra length of these matches makes it easier to reach into deeper candle vessels and light the wick safely.
They’re also useful for tea light lanterns, candle holders and anywhere else where the flame sits below the top of the container.
Made from Sustainably Sourced Aspen
Our long matches are made from aspen sourced from sustainably managed European forests. We deliberately source them within Europe rather than importing matches unnecessarily from much further afield.
A Match Pot Made from Reclaimed Glass
The olive green pot is made in our Dorset workshop from reclaimed bottle glass. We cut the bottle down before grinding and polishing the rim by hand to create a small, durable pot designed to be kept and reused.
At approximately 7cm high, it’s compact enough to sit alongside your candles while keeping your matches together and within easy reach.
Once you’ve used the matches, there’s no need to replace the pot. Simply top it up with our long match refills and continue using it again and again.
