A private workshop in Dorset, just for your group
Get your people together and come and spend a few hours doing something different at the Old Green studio.
Our private experiences are designed around connection rather than perfecting a craft. Each one uses the senses and natural materials to give you something to explore together — sparking conversation, memories and plenty of opportunities to discover something new about the people you’re with.
You don’t need to be particularly creative or know anything before you arrive. We’ll prepare everything, guide you through the experience and give you plenty of space to talk and enjoy being together along the way.
The studio is exclusively yours for the session.
Choose your experience
Each of our private workshops explores the natural world through one of the senses. Choose the experience that sounds most like your group.
SCENT — Candle or Botanical Diffuser
Explore natural fragrance through pure essential oils and our seasonal Old Green scent blends.
You’ll spend time smelling different oils and fragrances, noticing the scents you’re drawn to and the memories and associations they bring up. Then choose what you’d like to make with them.
Candle
Choose an Old Green scent before preparing and pouring your own natural wax candle to take home.
Botanical Diffuser
Create a natural reed diffuser in our repurposed bottle glass before choosing dried flowers and botanicals to arrange into a little bouquet amongst the reeds.
Your group can choose candles, diffusers or a mixture of both.
TASTE — Botanical Tea Blending
Explore plants through smell and taste with a seasonal collection of herbs, flowers and botanicals.
Taste individual ingredients, compare favourites and discover how different flavours work together before experimenting with combinations of your own. Everyone will create a personal botanical tea blend to take home.
It’s a naturally sociable experience, with plenty of tasting and conversation as you go.
TOUCH — Handmade Paper
Slow things down and get your hands into the process of making something from scratch.
You’ll transform waste paper into new handmade sheets, exploring texture, colour and natural botanical additions as you work. The process is tactile, wonderfully imperfect and accessible to everyone — no artistic ability required.
Everyone leaves with their own collection of handmade papers.
Group size
Your private experience is £300 for up to 6 people, including exclusive use of the studio, your guided experience, all materials and everything you make to take home.
You don’t need to have everyone’s plans confirmed before you book. Secure your date now, then add any additional guests for £45 per person, up to a maximum group of 20. You can let us know your final numbers up to 5 days before your experience.
